You know something, I am not even going to say, “New Year, New Me”.  Screw that!  I started off really good with the whole social media thing and then fell off the bandwagon…again! Well writing blogs every couple of days when you are busy running businesses and other life things is extremely hard and I’m not exactly sure how people really make a go of this thing called the Social Media lifestyle!

So, I am going to give everyone a life update so you know what I did and accomplished in 2022 and lets just say I really want a redo for some parts, but not all!

  • January
    • The only real thing that happened in January was the lost of an amazing mother, friend, judge and person Mildred Whethers McDuffie.  She was like a mom to me and I’ve lost a little more of my heart now.
    • Subscription to Every Plate has begun and I’m starting to eat healthier!
    • I made Hamburger Stew for the first time since my mom passed away.
    • We got SNOW! It was pretty, but only lasted for about a day or two.
  • February
    • Sam and Brittany GET MARRIED!! YAY! Wedding was absolutely beautiful.  We enjoyed our 2 weeks with them and I loved every moment getting to help with the wedding as the best man!  Everyone even liked my best man speech!  I may even post it so everyone can read it!
    • Visited Bok Tower Gardens in Florida.  It was super pretty and will most definitely go again!
    • I got another tattoo while in Florida! It is a Mickey Mouse / Deathly Hallows tattoo with water colors.  It hurt like a bitch and has some issues with it (where some color came out, but otherwise pretty good).  I also updated my Mom’s tattoo with rainbow colors in the wings plus her initials.
    • The 1 year anniversary of my moms death was hard for me and I spent that time in Florida with Sam and Brittany.
  • March
    • 6th Annual Irish Fest was held as Kershaw2Go was a sponsor for it this year.
    • We went to the zoo with Logan, Emma, Aimee, Blythe and others.  Super fun with lots of pictures!
    • Thirty-nine years in the books and it just doesn’t feel like it, especially without my mom.
    • We have a Tidwell family reunion where I get to send my Grandpa Pete.
    • Celebrated my Mom’s second birthday in heaven and it sucked a little less, but still hurts.
    • William took me to see the Lion King on broadway (Koger Center).  IT WAS EPIC!
  • April
    • We held a birthday party at our house for Jacob and did Tie-Dye shirts! That was an interesting experience to say the least lol.
    • William and I travel to the Bed and Breakfast at Tiffany Hill in North Carolina.  It was beautiful as always and even got to visit Biltmore while there! The Tulips were amazing!
    • We got to visit with Caroline, Geoff and the kids.  Man they are growing sooooo fast!
    • Easter baskets completed for the kids! Another epic Easter for them!
    • Hells bells! We got our dining room chairs that we ordered back in November 2021!  YASSSSSSS!
    • William and I travel to Tennessee for the RMDA Conference. We arrived days in advance to visit and tour Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg before heading over to Nashville! Man do I want to go back!
    • Colton (our oldest nephew) got to go to the prom with his long time girlfriend. It was bitter sweet.
    • My cousin Cate got married!  It was absolutely beautiful!
    • I started meeting people that would eventually would become my chosen family.  Christie, Katie, Kyle, Crystal, Billie, Dakota, Wendy, etc.
  • May
    • Helped Adam and Jonathan film for his dissertation.  It was epically funny.
    • Got to watch Harrison play baseball for the Kershaw2Go Dixie Youth league for the first time.  He did amazing!
    • Witnessed my nephew graduate from 8th Grade to move on to High School.  Wow! Jacob is going to high school!
    • Met Steven aka Baby Daddy. My world changed.
  • June
    • Emma had her 12th birthday and we had a party at our house.  It was fun to have all these people at our house!
    • I put makeup on for the first time ever!  Yeah I looked epically beautiful!
    • IT’S OFFICIAL!  My last name is now James!  YAYAYAYAY
    • Received my first pair of glasses from Pair Eyewear!  And these bitches are EPIC!
    • Attended the Irish Fest Committee party and received the “Steve Jobs” award for the website work as well as Volunteer of the Year!  WOW what an honor.
  • July
    • Visited Florida and got to spend the 4th of July with some of the best people that I know, Sam and Brittany.
    • William and I redid Emma’s bedroom for her birthday!  Paint and everything!
    • I received my first ban from TikTok and it was for Sexual Activity and Nudity.  Which I didn’t do at all and I ended up getting my account back within 4 hours of the banning.
    • Colton officially moved out of the house.
  • August
  • September
    • Went to our first Florida Gators game!  What an experience! Not sure I would do this again, but maybe.  LOL
    • Met Blake for the first time at Disney Springs!
    • Brother and Sister-in-Law have baby shower for their baby girl that is on the way! Waiting on you Layne Carter!
    • September 24th is the day that forever changed my life. Steven moved to South Carolina and into our home with William and me.
  • October
  • November
    • We (Steven and myself) spent the month at the beach (or most of it) and it was fun just getting to spend time with Steven.  We did bowling and shopping and made Tiktoks lol.
    • Steven and I got tattoos! His says “Keep me safe” and mine says “Keep my wild”. They represent each of us well.
    • Joan ended up falling and William didn’t get to come as much with us to the beach which sucked.  He did spend the week of Thanksgiving with us at the beach and we did go bowling with him, which he didn’t care for at all.
  • December
    • SOLD! My long time business that I built after purchasing it from my cousin sold to a gentleman that is going to fix and make it every better than before.  Running a business that is successful is extremely hard and when working fulltime, you must have dedicated people like you or a good business partner to make sure the world revolves around the best things for the business!
    • Well it finally happened, COVID has struck William and myself in the house!  At the beginning of December, we both ended up with COVID (of course I got it first!).  We didn’t have such a bad experience, but I wouldn’t wish it on anyone.  I sounded like Darth Vader one day and it was unreal!
    • We held our annual Christmas Eve party that we didn’t get to do the year before because Colton had COVID.  It was our first party since Mom passing last February and it was busy and sad for some parts, but we made it through it.  Aunt Beth was here for it and that is what made it feel like home.  Thank you Aunt Beth!
